MDS Liason & Personal Assistant
Reni is best known for being an
eccentric academic gardener, who’s
OTT about good grammar and
healthy food.

Reni wears a few different caps as you can see.  
Primarily she is the Dean of Students for all
things MDS, making sure the students are
encouraged and looked after in the 2 year
Ministry Development School that is
run through Empower Church. 

Reni has great organisational skills, an
attention to detail and a deep desire to serve
God and others.  When asked what that
driving factor is she says “I love learning more
about God’s amazing ways and seeing
Him transform peoples lives”.  

Reni balances what she does in the life of
Empower Church with assisting her son with
his online business.  Sporting a Master’s Degree
(First Class Honours) in Contemporary
Literature (UC), Journalism and Creative
Writing skills (NCEA) and Adult Literacy
training [ARAS], Reni feels that she is suited
to her role here because she loves to learn
and to impart what she has learned to others. 

Add to all of this her family - a wonderfully
multi-cultural experience, with her own
Lebanese background and now with the
diversity of her grandchildrens’ Maori,
Taiwanese and Fijian blood lines - so as
you can see, life is busy, but very fulfilling.

When Reni isn’t working alongside someone
and you’re wondering where to find her.
You’ll be best suited to hunt for her in her
garden packed full of fruit trees and vege’s,
where she’ll be unwinding and enjoying herself.
Or she’ll be out spending quality time with
her family… with coffee :)
