How do you give back to others?
MISSIONS:
We’re committed to sharing the Gospel and extending God’s Kingdom. This includes helping those in need, through our missions partners:
HAGAR:
Hagar is an international not-for-profit organisation on a mission to restore life and dignity for survivors of modern slavery and to prevent exploitation and abuse. Today, more than 50 million people live in slavery. That is more than at any other time in history.
Every day people are trafficked, enslaved, abused and exploited, and women and children are disproportionately vulnerable. Slavery is real, but there is hope. Hagar is dedicated to supporting survivors of these injustices but also preventing them from happening in the first place.
Our global programmes are led by skilled local teams and deliver holistic survivor care and trafficking prevention efforts across the Asia Pacific region. Hagar NZ is registered with NZ Charities Services (CC50258) to raise awareness and support for Hagar’s programmes around the world.
OPEN DOORS:
When we partner with Open Doors, we are given a glimpse of how God is at work around the world and what discipleship looks like in the most dangerous places. Open Doors comes alongside those who are most persecuted for their faith in Jesus, giving them what they need to endure.
Across the world, more than 380 million Christians suffer persecution and discrimination, simply because of their decision to follow Jesus. In our partnership with Open Doors we are helping the body of Christ be the hands and feet of Jesus in some of the most dangerous places in the world.
A church is a community
My trust in God flows out of the experience of his loving me, day in and day out, whether the day is stormy or fair, whether I’m sick or in good health, whether I’m in a state of grace or disgrace. He comes to me where I live and loves me as I am.
From many we become one
